Internship Profiles:
Robert C. Freeland

Robert FreelandRobert C. Freeland studies Sustainable Agriculture at the University of Maine. He decided to participate in this internship to “further [his] understanding and to gain more knowledge about [his] interests.” His goal is to manage his own farm using sustainable agricultural methods. He dreams of farming as people did in the 1840s, but with modern technology.

His interests of working and studying in an animal-based farm motivated him to research pasture veal using milk replacer versus brood cows.
